Poznávačka Tool

An app that makes interactive quizes and lists out of image sets, so that students can learn the names of the plants, animals and other species displayed on the images faster. Classic interactive and customizable dashboard UI.

Why?

The first time my class was assigned to learn the names of 150 plant species, I thought I could simplify the learning process with my web development skills - so I created this app. Over the years, it has evolved as my skills grew. I also introduced it to other classes and teachers in my school and because of that, over 100 students use or have used this app to make the learning process faster, easier and more fun.

The website is supposed to introduce my mom and her services as well as lead visitors to working with her. It also contains a lot of information about Eurona - the company she sells products for.

Why?

At first, my mom needed the website just for verification on some other service she used. So the first version was not made by me and was not maintained. A few years ago, I decided to rewrite the entire thing in React as a practice and later updated the design multiple times (even created a logo). My mom then started using my version of the website, because it looked and worked so much better.

About me

I’m a web developer and designer, currently studying at Gymnázium Komenského Havířov. Next year, I want to study at VŠB College in Ostrava, IT specialization. I enjoy solving problems and learning things I find interesting (not only IT and math).

I started as a developer, but over time, graphic design was inevitable due to the looks of my projects. Another great chapter for me was organisation. That's because I would often spend many minutes searching my code for a component, a function, etc. And in design, I found out that if a person gets confused by the page, it doesn't matter if it's beautiful: confusion = leave. In UX design, there are simply rules you must follow and only then, creativity can take over.

I chose this instead of the gym, because I can do it at home and I liked the skills you can built up to. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the routine, but I train consistently anyway.

When I see or hear something math-related I don't understand yet, I tend to look it up. I'm just a curious person and I like solving (not only) math problems.

I listen to everything that has a good vibe and okay lyrics. The better the lyrics are, the longer the song stays in my playlist. But overall, I prefer rap, techno and rock.

When I see some cool skill and I got some time, I try to learn it. Some last longer, some shorter. I guess that depends on the interest of the people around me and the difficulty of said skill.

Calisthenics

A cool athletic sport focused on physical exercises using your bodyweight and some bars.

I like learning new concepts, going to competitions and challenging my mind.

Music

I think everyone has music on their list. I still have to include it here, because I listen to it everyday.
